The Verbal ophtamic laboratory was set up in 1992 and is ideally situated in Strasbourg, the European capital. Since then, Verbal has been intensified its development in France and all over the world, in more than 20 countries.
By multiplying by three its working surface area and by reinforcing the advanced technologies, the laboratory offers a high level of performance: a recognised expertise for the opticians and patients, with a very full range of lenses such as single vision, bifocal, degressive and progressive lenses.

Verbal is partial to the presbyopia segment that is the heart of its activity, and is providing a range of progressive lenses stated in five designs of new generations, available in all indexes and materials. It offers a wide selection of lenses including customized free-form lenses, at the cutting edge of innovation.

Finally, the Verbal ophthalmic laboratory has also a low vision department with the exclusivity of manufacturing of CPF® and Lucéo® filters, and has developed an original concept: : “the CPF® Approved Opticians”.

Since its creation, the Verbal laboratory has always developed a high technology range of lenses, covering more than 98% of the patients’ needs. Being aware of the last innovations in terms of materials or surface coatings, Verbal has continually been engaged in research and development in order to build a technical avant-garde offer. So, the laboratory was one of the first that has provided, in 2008, on the French market, the thinnest lens of the world (1.76 index).

Low Vision presentation

The ophthalmic Verbal laboratory has gained a solid experience in the field of the correct filters for visual impairement, thus, it has become the unique specialist and interlocutor able to provide the most complete range of the market, concerning the equipments (single vision, bifocal, proximity, progressive lenses) as much as the materials ( mineral or organic). With its technical expertise, Verbal has build up today strong relationships in the world of the dedicated prescribers (ophtalmologists, hospitals…) and has entered into partnership with low vision organizations (Rétina France, l’AribA…). Seminar on Low Vision by the Laboratory Verbal and Lissac Optician

“For a better understanding of the sensitivity to the light: pathologies, stakes and solutions”.

A seminar regarding the sensitivity to the light took place in Paris last June 8th. The Ophtalmic Laboratory Verbal, company specialised in the manufacturing of filters, CPF and LUCEO, and Lissac Optician, organised this seminar on Low Vision, mainly dedicated to professionals “orthoptistes”. This event encounters a great success and was covered by the professional press. Not less than 100 participants came along. Dr Beatrice Le Bail took the chair of this seminar and explained the different pathologies linked to low vision.
